Hey there Dan, I would be interested in finding a couple of those remote controlled LED lights used in this video. Are you willing to share your supplier?

The Light out put by spectrum intensity of an LED diode,is capable of higher spectrum light radation, than the Solar radation, needed to power it,Not crap! phisics! You go look up Effishancy!

If you don’t believe me, try it. Even if the panel converted 100% of the sunlight to electricity (world record is about 40%) and the leds converted 100% of that electricity into light (maybe up to 85%), you’d still only get the same energy out as you put in.

With real (<100% efficient) components, you'd waste 70% of the power each cycle.

“possibly a solar panel pumping water into a higher water storage tower during the day ”

Yes, and then let it run down through a turbine. That would work. It’s called pumped storage hydroelectric when it’s used large scale. Compressed air is also a possibility, or even a large flywheel.

Also, that doesn’t even make sense. Stringing together impressive sounding words is not the same as actually understanding what you’re talking about.

It only works until you meet people who actually know about the subject you’re pretending to.

were do you get them at?

to have a first solar power unite
do you have a list to get started with
    some coust ??

where did you get the cool led light with the remote?

great work as allways. i am also interested in were to find thes LED bulbs been looking for a few days cant seem to come up with them.

  10. mykol13v says:

You have a source for the panels since you priced them? Make, Model and distributors.

    Nice vids btw.

I don’t know what I’d do with a color LED with a remote besides making a Jumbotron in that backyard for movie day. He he. Trying to save money not throw it away.

what size battery would it require to hold enough charge to keep those two lights on for 8-10 hours..
im guessing the panel hooked to the battery and strait to the lights wont need an inverter, correct me if wrong!?

    AWESOME remote control leds!!!!

This would be a great way to illuminate caves during the daytime at no cost except the original expense. Also to illuminate dark rooms and cellars at no cost except when very cloudy or at night. Of course batteries could supplement for those occasions.

hi, we have been looking at ideas to build a outdoor light suitable for camping that will light up an area out side tents(better that garden lights) using the sun during the day and providing light at night. also to create a light that can be charged by the sun during the day that can be attached to a tent roof to provide a night light inside the tent for the kids. would this sort of panel work for that or could you provide any ideas.

    what brand are they?

  17. aczeclipse says:

@labeledsk8r45 I think Deal Extreme has both the led bulbs 🙂

  18. aczeclipse says:

@mykol13v Deal extreme has something similar if I’m not mistaken:)

  19. ion010101 says:

That’s a lot of light for just 2 watts. Really interesting. Seems like a great way to get lighting with just battery power, since I only really need a light source at night. I imagine I would use the solar panels to charge the batteries….

so where r u from dan? seems like its always cold, i would guess canada?

ive taken a 7.2 rechargeable battery and a 3.8 watt solar panel to power two light in my room is that acceptable? how long do you think it will take the solar panel to recharge it?

Hey how long can you run a 2 watt LED on a 12 volt deep cycle battery before the battery is completely dead? or how many amps per hour would a 2 watt led use? ruffly speaking? Thanx Dale…
