www.EnergyBrainiac.com – How to Make a Homemade Solar Panel Solar panels, unlike before, are cheap and easy to install with great efficiency. With this advent, you can save big money as well as help save the environment. A DIY kit is available and has an easy to follow instruction with them. What you need is some simple tools and you’re done. Here is your guide to make a homemade solar panel 1. First, you must know the loads of your solar panel and the package that is affordable to you. One watt of solar panel module will coast you about and a 200 watts module is around 00. If you need more power, you can connect this to form a collector to produce your desired power needs. Electrical connections are made in series to achieve a desired output voltage and/or in parallel to provide a desired amount of current capability. 2. After selecting the solar panel modules, you need a charge controller which is an important system component that regulates the voltage generated by the solar panel. This will regulate your power and provide protection to the batteries from being over or under-charged. 3. Next, you need a solar inverter this will convert 12 volt DC (direct current) from solar panel to 125 volts AC (alternating current) which will feed your appliances. Some high end inverters combine an inverter, battery charger and dual transfer switch in one package. 4. Batteries are needed if there is no sun or there is a blackout in your area. Typically, lead acid batteries are

PART 1 WIND POWER PROGRAMS – RPM AT MPH.wmv

THIS IS A VIDEO THAT I WROTE TO FIGURE OUT HOW MANY RPMs THE WIND TURBINE WILL SPIN FREELY WITH NO LOAD ON IT IN THE GIVEN WIND CONDITIONS IN A CERTAIN AREA. THAT WAY I WOULD KNOW WHAT VOLTAGES TO EXPECT IN THE AVERAGE WINDS OF THAT AREA. AND IF THE WINDS ARE LOWER FOR THAT AREA I COULD EITHER SHORTEN THE PROP FOR A LITTLE MORE RPMs. OR I COULD JUST ADD MORE MAGNETS, OR REWIRE THE OUTPUTS. ONE OTHER ADVANTAGE TO THIS PROGRAM IS IF I KNOW THE EVERY DAY AVERAGE WIND SPEED , I CAN DESIGN THE ALTERNATOR TO GIVE ME A DESIRED OUTPUT. TOGETHER WITH THE OTHER PROGRAM THAT IS PART 2, I CAN FIGURE OUT THE EXPECTED POWER OUT AND DETERMINE THE PROP SIZE AND THE RPMS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE, AND THE DESIRED WIRE SIZE. ALL THESE FACTORS ARE VERY IMPORTANT IN THE DESIGN OF A WIND TURBINE FOR YOUR AREA. THIS IS A GIFT TO YOU MY VIEWERS AND I HOPE YOU FIGURE OUT HOW TO GET THE MOST OUT OF IT. I WILL PROBABLY OFFER THE FULL 2 PROGRAMS TO DOWN LOAD IF I CAN FIND A SITE TO PLACE THEM AT. THESE PROGRAMS ARE IN GWBASIC LANGUAGE. THERE IS A SITE CALLED FRIENDLYRAT.COM WHERE YOU CAN DOWN LOAD THE BASIC COMPILER TO RUN THESE PROGRAMS. SORRY I LEARNED TO PROGRAM WHEN I WAS GOING THROUGH ROBOTICS AT TEXAS STATE TECHNICAL INSTITUTE IN SWEETWATER/ROSCOE CAMPUS, A DIVISION OF A&M. THIS WAS WAY BACK IN 1982 OR 83. HELLO COMMODORE 64 AND TRS 80s AND TI 99s THE CUTTING EDGE OF TECHNOLOGY FOR THE 80s , AND HELLO BASIC PROGRAMMING. THAT WAS WHEN 64 MEGABITES WAS REALLY COOL. BUT THE BEST THING IS THAT

How to make solar panels. You’ll need: Solar Cells (The 0.5 volt / 3.6 Amp type) Soldering Iron 2 x Perspex sheets at least 3mm thick EVA material Araldite or silicon sealant Heat Gun / Hair Dryer Material for spacer ‘beading’ Further SOLAR RESOURCE INFO: www.squidoo.com This part will be covering the soldering, wire connections and EVA applying to the solar panels. The cells are wired up in a series configuration resulting in a theoretical 8 volts from 16 cells. However in extreme sunshine this can result in a 10 volt reading. Please Rate and Sub for more videos 🙂 Cost for all materials was approx £40.

THIS IS A VIDEO TO SHOW THOSE WHO DONT WANT TO SPEND A LOT OF MONEY FOR THE BIG SYSTEMS OUT THERE. THE BLACK UNIT IN THE BACK GROUND IS THE ONE THAT IM MAKING FOR A FRIEND WHO WILL USE IT WITH GREAT GLADNESS. HIS ELECTRICAL SYSTEM WAS ALMOST COMPLETELY DESTROYED BY LIGHTENING. IT WOULD COST TOO MUCH FOR REPAIRS AND NEW DEPOSITS AND OLD BILL TO RECONNECT, ESPECIALY WITH REPAIRS FOR A NEW SERVICE BOX AND UPDATING TO A BREAKER SYSTEM AND THE WIRES DESTROYED IN THE HOUSE. ALTHOUGH THIS UNIT WILL NOT NORMALLY SUPPLY A NORMAL HOUSE HOLD IT WILL ALLOW HIM TO HAVE LIGHTS , RADIO, TV , CELLPHONE CHARGING, AND A FEW MORE THINGS BUT NOT ALL AT ONCE OR CONSTANTLY. BUT 20 DOLLARS A DAY FOR GAS IN A GENERATOR IS NOT AN OPTION EITHER. A BAG OF ICE, AND A COOLER IS. WE ARE MAKING A SOLAR HOT WATER HEATER AS WELL. BY 1:00 PM HE WILL HAVE ENOUGH WATER TO DO DISHES AND GET A NICE HOT SHOWER. THEN RELAX BY THE TV OR RADIO FOR A FEW HOURS ON STORED ENERGY. THEN GO TO SLEEP WITH A SMILE. IF HE GETS UP IN THE NIGHT HE CAN JUST TURN ON THE LIGHT. AND ITS ALL FREE. I HAVE ONE CONFESSION TO MAKE ABOUT THE ONE IN THE FIRST VIDEO THAT EVERYONE HAS COMPLEMENTED ON FROM THE BEGINNING. THAT IS , THAT THE ONE THAT IS IN THE VIDEO IS THE 7th OR 8th ONE I DID. I DID IT FOR SOMEONE ELSE BUT I DESTROYED ONE OF THE COIL SETS IN IT BY PULLING ON THE WIRES TO HARD WHILE I WAS RETHREADING THE WIRES TO COME OUT THE OTHER SIDE. BUT THE 12 VOLT SYSTEM INSTEAD OF 24 VOLT SYSTEM WILL NOT SLOW THE BLADES DOWN WHEN

Sueing Your HOA So You Can Install Solar Panels

www.solardave.com John Forbes: The year before last (2007) Xcel (Energy) had been sending out these mailers with your bill and they were talking about their solar credit program, and I have been really interested in all things solar. I tell people that I had in the 8th grade in 1958 I was standing up in front of the class giving them my science presentation and telling them I wanted to be a solarologist. My science fair project I had a big solar cooker made out of card board and tin foil. The next year I did one with corala algae and composting that in to methane and generating electricity from that, so I was really interested into it a long long time ago. The prices were prohibitive and the products really were not available anyway. So I say this an I was really intrigued and the Cary Hayes and REC Solar showed up at Costco. My wife had seen him and and she said he still might be there and I got home from work and Costco was open a little later. And she took me down there and she met him. OK, I gotta do it. And from then it was September of 2007 and I thought I would just put in my application to the Architectural Committee (Rock Creek HOA) because I had to do that for the yard and the deck and you are supposed get a 45 day turn around. Well when I didn’t get it by October – I went to inquire, I was told you can show up at the next meeting by that time – I check and gave them a little more time back in December or November I think they were skipping December and going in
