This is the Chinese version of the video “Protection from Wind and Weather — Intelligent Coatings for Rotor Blades of Wind Turbines”. In spectacular pictures it shows the development and testing of innovative coatings that BASF sells under its new RELEST® product brand. Pictures produced by a special high-speed camera visualize processes that are otherwise invisible to the human eye. Insights into real-life rotor-blade manufacturing and short expert interviews complement the presentation. For more information, please visit: www.windenergy.basf.com As the world`s leading chemical company, we believe strongly in the emotional appeal of film as a way of making innovations and solutions come alive before the viewer`s eyes. Of course, as a journalist you can`t be everywhere, but we can help bring you a little closer to our world. More on our TV-Service at www.tvservice.basf.com

Maple Honda will install a private wind turbine at its new dealership in a unique partnership with Power Stream. In keeping with leading edge technology pioneered by Honda Motor Co. Maple Honda has taken the innovative step of integrating energy efficiency in an automotive work place. “This is a new venture for both Power Stream and our leading regional automotive dealership. Our goal is to provide a tangible model for alternative energy options in Ontario. The Production of wind energy creates no air pollution and, if the turbines are sited properly, has minimal environmental impact.” says Mr. Zanchin. This is the first commercial-scale use of wind power to generate electricity in the region. The wind turbine will provide supplemental wind power to Maple Honda, and will produce approximately 110 MWH/Yr-which is the equivalent of powering 17 homes. It removes 82.5 tons of CO2 emissions/Yr and is completely Canadian made. Maple Honda will open for business in early fall 2006.

Learn how Cannon Power Group, during challenging economic conditions, successfully financed the development of WP/WF, one of the largest wind energy projects in the United States. The wind farm’s array of turbines spans 30 miles along the Columbia River ridgeline and will produce 500 megawatts (MW) of renewable power at its completion. Each turbine was manufactured by Siemens and collectively generate enough clean electricity for over 250000 households per year.
