Solar Panels – How to Make a Homemade Solar Panel

www.EnergyBrainiac.com – How to Make a Homemade Solar Panel Solar panels, unlike before, are cheap and easy to install with great efficiency. With this advent, you can save big money as well as help save the environment. A DIY kit is available and has an easy to follow instruction with them. What you need is some simple tools and you’re done. Here is your guide to make a homemade solar panel 1. First, you must know the loads of your solar panel and the package that is affordable to you. One watt of solar panel module will coast you about and a 200 watts module is around 00. If you need more power, you can connect this to form a collector to produce your desired power needs. Electrical connections are made in series to achieve a desired output voltage and/or in parallel to provide a desired amount of current capability. 2. After selecting the solar panel modules, you need a charge controller which is an important system component that regulates the voltage generated by the solar panel. This will regulate your power and provide protection to the batteries from being over or under-charged. 3. Next, you need a solar inverter this will convert 12 volt DC (direct current) from solar panel to 125 volts AC (alternating current) which will feed your appliances. Some high end inverters combine an inverter, battery charger and dual transfer switch in one package. 4. Batteries are needed if there is no sun or there is a blackout in your area. Typically, lead acid batteries are

Vertical Axis Disk Wind Turbine

How the turbine works: Rotatable shutters mounted on a circular disk automatically open when directed into the wind, irregardless of the wind’s direction. Pairs of upper and lower shutters are geared together. The lower shutter acts as a counterweight to the upper shutter. The bottom shutter opens in the downward direction and its weight helps to lift the upper shutter in the upward direction, as the wind applies an opening force against both shutters. When the shutters reach the vertical position, stops prevent them from opening further and the force of the wind is transferred from the open shutters to the circular disk. And the circular disk is attached to the vertical axis for power output. The circular disk, shutters, and outer vertical axis rotate together. The outer vertical axis is mounted via bearings over an inner vertical axis that is stationery. The shutters are blown closed by the wind (no stops in the opposite direction) as they reverse direction during their rotation and move into the wind on the opposite side of the wind turbine. When the wind is not blowing, the shutters open by gravity because the lower shutter is weighted to be slightly heavier than the upper shutter and it therefore can cause the upper shutter to open via the force of gravity as the two shutters are geared together. Wind blows against the open shutters and the open shutters with stops apply a force against the disk, but the open shutters with no stops (opposite side going into the wind

Wind Max wind turbine Happy owner

This is my Wind max wind turbine. I have been running the 1kw for over a year and i have had not one problem. Please do your homework when buying a micro wind turbine. The warranty for the Windmax is in place so a professional can wire it in, as well as give the homeowner a gauruntee on the wiring, then Windmax can be assured the turbine will work properly for any proper troubleshooting that may be needed in the future. Most people only have a very limited electrical background. Take a look around youtube and you will see why Windmax wants a professional to wire them. These turbines are not meant to be altered. They are meant to be taken right out of the box, installed, and used at a site that has enough wind to even consider a wind turbine. Do you see Windmax, Bergey, Raum, Skystream, Proven, or any other proffesional sealed PMA-wind turbine offering 4 different style blades sets, hubs, spray chemicals to seal the insides of the PMA? I wonder why? Wind is suppose to be simple, not a nightmare of cost and confusions. Again, my name is Larry from Leamy Electric Inc. A speical thanks goes out to Jeff Harmon of Missouri Wind and Solar for doing outstaning video’s on the wind max. Please check out his video’s on the wind max as they are very informative. If you want real facts please email me i will be happy to share.
